POP-UP food truck and music series Eats & Beats at Logan Village has been cancelled are dumping rains on the weekend.
The sun may be out this week, but parts of the the green and car parking areas were still underwater on Tuesday.
Council officers reported the ground was not expected to recover before the event, which was scheduled for Friday, October 26.
Area councillor Laurie Koranski said she was disappointed.
“I know how much the community looks forward to Eats & Beats,” Cr Koranski said.
“The green is a beloved community asset.
“The prospect of having food trucks and 7000 people there when it, not to mention the adjacent block which is used for parking, is still boggy … well it’s not something anyone would thank us for if we went ahead.”
It is the second time Eats & Beats at Logan Village has been cancelled this year. The August event was cancelled to avoid traffic snarls with road works still progressing on Waterford-Tamborine Road and moved to Berrinba Wetlands.
