LOGAN City Council has extended the deadline for the biennial 2018 Logan Urban Design Awards to September 28. Here’s a gallery of the former winners.
Queensland government architect Malcolm Middleton, Cardno senior consultant Alan Chenoweth and Tract Consulting principal town planner Chris Buckley are the judges.
Promoting excellence in the design and creation of urban environments big and small, nominations are open to Logan projects, businesses or events that have operated since 2015.
Former winners include My Home and The River Estate at Logan Village for the master planning award which recognises excellence in master planned developments and communities. Judges recognise the large riverfront park that makes Logan River the hero amid meandering paths, playgrounds and revegetation projects.
Jimboomba Community Gardens was a 2016 winner in the Landscape Architecture and Urban Infrastructure Award awarded to public realm works. Judges praised the project in which land donated by a local school to engage the local community.
