JIMBOOMBA Redbacks have played final games for the season ahead of the finals.
Youth and senior teams are headed to the finals. The juniors, meanwhile, are close to winding up the season and have also shown extensive effort and skill in their games.
The Under 8 Black team player Hamish Carr reached his 50th game milestone this week.
The under 13s girls played the last game of the season on Sunday, having missed a finals berth and lost to Everton. Two Redbacks goals were kicked by Ashleigh Hodges. Players of the match were Mikayla Nurse, Jasmine Starkey, Emma Doyle, Ayva Stamatopoulous, Taneka Dhadlie and Catelin Jordan.
Coaches Fred Meddings and Aurora Hodges were delighted by the team’s improvement and look foward to seeing how all develop next year.
“With 14 players still eligible to play in the under 13s next year, it will be a strong and exciting season,” Mr Meddings said.
