NOMINATIONS have opened for the Logan Safe City Awards.
The awards recognise groups and individuals who work to promote safety and inclusion in their communities.
Logan lifestyle and community chair Councillor Steve Swenson said everyone had a part to play in promoting safety in our neighbourhoods.
“Whether it's increasing safety awareness, promoting respectful relationships, preventing violence or protecting residents, we want to know what individuals and groups are doing, and thank them for their valuable contributions to the community,” he said.
Awards will be handed out across three categories – not for profit, government and volunteer individual or group.
Nominations close Monday, September 3 at 5pm. Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony at Logan Metro Sports and Events Centre in November.
