EMMAUS College students from years three to 12 took to the oval for the sports carnival for the last day of term two.
School athletes represented their sport houses Flynn, Broughton, Bonoeffer and Mackillop in high jump, long jump, discus, shot putt, track races and more.
The 12-year-old discus competition was hotly contested with Cooper Turner winning with a distance of 17.37 metres followed by Jossiah Brechin (15.82 metres) and Liam Walsh (15.38 metres).
Mr Turner also took out the age champion title in discus in 2017.
Emmaus College physical education teacher Mik Oberle said there had been some record breaking performances in 2018.
“One highlight was in the high jump. We just set a new 15 year boys record with Lachlan Murray jumping 1.67 metres,” he said.
“That is 10 centimetres higher than the previous record.”
Sports carnival results will be released when term three resumes from July 16.
