A STELLAR season for the Jimboomba Redbacks Masters has just gotten sweeter with a crushing 103 point win on Saturday.
The undefeated Masters clashed against Greater Springfield, with a final score 118-15.
Coherent team strategy and an attacking game set the Redbacks apart from the opposition.
Mark Brimble was presented with the TJ’s Pizza award for his forward line performance early in the game setting the foundation for a overwhelming victory.
Matt Ryder and Colin Smith also performed well.
The Jimboomba Seniors easily continued their winning streak, defeating Mayne by 60 points with a final score 82-22 on Friday.
Lopsided scoreboards on Sunday saw the Redbacks claim an easy win and a devastating loss.
The under 12 Jimboomba boys won 76-0 against Greater Springfield in an away game.
The Redbacks pushed the ball forward from the midfield well and shared posession evenly across the entire team.
Dennis won the player of the match award.
The under 13 girls were defeated by Sandgate with a score 1-96.
Mackenzie Starkey, Kayla Whittaker and Mikayla Nurse were the players of the match.
Many of the under 13 girls also attended the Lion’s Women’s Winter Series game at Aspley on Saturday.
The players were lucky to have a team photo with the Lions after the game.
The under 17 Jimboomba/Beenleigh girls faced tough competition against Aspley on Sunday, losing 25-40.
The under 15 girls played a tighter game, only four points short against Victoria park with the score 20-24.
The under 14 Jimboomba/Greater Springfield team defeated Sherwood in a close game with a final score 40-22.
