POLICE have confirmed that a 67-year-old woman died after two people were struck by a SUV while crossing the road at Browns Plains this morning.
A Queensland Police Service spokesperson said the 28-year-old female SUV driver from Parkinson was not injured.
A 67-year-old man also struck by the vehicle was sent to the PA Hospital with non life threatening injuries.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the cause of the crash.
EARLIER: PARAMEDICS assessed a woman with critical injuries after a vehicle struck two pedestrians in their 60s at Browns Plains this morning.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson said a second male patient suffered head and back injuries following the impact on the corner of Browns Plains Road and Downing Street at 7.45am.
He was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in stable condition.
A Queensland Police Service spokesperson said emergency services were on the scene and urged motorists to avoid the area.
Police could not confirm if anyone died.
