Students from kindergarten through to year two participated in a family fun day on on the oval starting with racing sprints followed by various rotational activities.
Long jump, bocce, vortex throwing and a mini obstacle course were some of the events kids took part in.
Emmaus College primary school physical education teacher Mik Oberle said the event always attracted a large crowd.
“This is far more about participation than about winning,” he said.
“It is a very big community day for the college and nearly all the kid’s parents come along and follow them through the day.
Mr Oberle said the perfect weather conditions had been less kind to the athletics carnival events in past years and caused previous events to be cancelled.
“We do not always get this weather but it is a great time to be outdoors at the moment,” he said.
