JIMBOOMBA Library joined thousands of institutions across Australia to take part in National Simultaneous Storytime this morning.
The annual campaign has been running for 18 years and was designed to encourage young Australians to enjoy reading more books.
Readings were held at all Logan libraries from 11am today except for Greenbank and Logan Village which held the event from 11.30am.
Logan City councillor Steve Swenson encouraged families to get their kids involved ahead of the event.
Jimboomba library also has a range of children friendly events including Baby time on Wednesdays from 9.30am and 10.30am, Toddler time from 10.30am on Thursdays, Story time from 10.30am on Friday and play sessions from 11am on Thursday and Fridays.
