JIMBOOMBA and Scenic Rim residents who are passionate about conservation in the Logan and Albert river catchments have been invited to talk about their projects.
Community, landcare and resident groups can join the talks at the free community event.
The Healthy Land and Water and Logan and Albert River Catchments Association will use the information it gathers to determine where to deliver future projects.
Southern area manager Dennis Gannaway said the association delivered several local projects but not even it was aware of all work being conducted.
“After the gathering, we’ll draw up big maps and on these maps we’ll be able to plot where people are working and what’s being delivered,” he said.
“It’s been a long time since these groups have met and many people have forgotten what everyone else is doing. It will be a great opportunity to rekindle old connections, collaborate on future projects and show off successes.”
The event will be held at Mununjali Hall, Beaudesert on Saturday from 9am to 12.30pm.
Morning tea and lunch will be provided. Register to attend.
