BARRY and Anne Owens have created a proud legacy in their 25 years at the helm of Beenleigh Farm Supplies.
And this legacy will endure when the local business owners pass the baton on to the Farmcraft group from July 1, 2018.
Mr Owens said the business would remain a key part of the local community.
“It was important to us that should we sell, the recipient would continue to service the area, providing the same standard of professionalism, product knowledge and service,” he said,
“The Farmcraft group fitted the bill perfectly and there is no doubt our highly qualified staff will make sure it’s business as usual.”
Farmcraft runs a number of stores in south-east Queensland after growing to accomodate areas such as Boonah, Lowood and Brisbane.
Farmcraft group general manager Alistair Ross said the transition from July 1 would be as smooth as possible.
“We have known the Beenleigh Farm Supplies team for many years...both the business and cultural fit of Beenleigh Farm Supplies and Farmcraft are highly complementary,” he said.
“We are delighted to be taking on the business and team at Beenleigh Farm supplies.”
Beenleigh Farm Supplies was established in 1970 and has had a presence in Beeligh foe more than 40 years.
