CONSTRUCTION equipment allegedly stolen from sites stretching from the Gold Coast to the Sunshine Coast has been recovered at Flagstone.
An excavator, titan shed, generators, pumps, shovels, electrical equipment and more were among the large number of items revealed by a police search warrant at a Pelsart Place address on March 9.
Jimboomba police officer-in-charge Senior Sergeant Peter Waugh said police had to stay at the address overnight due to the sheer volume of equipment at the house.
“These were identified as stolen from sites as far north as the Sunshine Coast to the Gold Coast,” Senior Sergeant Waugh said.
“Construction sites from Greenbank, Coolum Beach and Heathwood were also affected.
“Due to the quantity of recovered property, police had to hold the house overnight until arrangements could be made to remove it.”
Police charged a Jimboomba man, 24, with receiving tainted property, entering premises to commit an indictable offence, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, stealing and possession of dangerous drugs.
He will appear in Beaudesert Magistrates Court on April 17
