A PASSENGER involved in a two-vehicle crash at Browns Plains on Friday has passed away, while a 16-year-old passenger in a single-vehicle crash at Buccan on Saturday was taken to hospital in a critical condition.
A police spokesperson said preliminary information suggested a four-wheel-drive and a station wagon collided at the intersection of Browns Plains Road and Grand Plaza Drive about 11.15am on Friday.
The passenger of the station wagon, who was the only person suffering injuries, was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital.
About 4.30pm on Friday, the 89-year-old Regents Park woman passed away as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.
A police spokesperson said the teenager was in a vehicle travelling west along Waterford Tamborine Road that crashed into a tree just after midnight on Saturday.
Emergency services helped a 16-year-old boy, who was trapped in the vehicle.
The boy, a passenger in the vehicle, was transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition.
An 18-year-old man, who was driving the vehicle, was transported to Logan Hospital in a stable condition.
The Forensic Crash Unit are investigating both crashes.
