POLICE were out in force as part of an Operation Papa Mulsanne crackdown on Wednesday morning.
They patrolled Jimboomba, Flagstone, Yarrabilba and Greenbank, conducting ATV, car, horse, bicycle and foot patrols.
Jimboomba police station officer-in-charge Senior Sergeant Peter Waugh said detectives from the anti-bikie Taskforce Maxima unit, Logan District tactical crime squad and road policing unit were among the large police presence in the area.
“There were high visibility patrols of traffic targeting persistent traffic offenders and people on warrants,” Senior Sergeant Waugh said.
“By saturating areas identified as having high volumes of reported crime we were very successful and had no reported crime overnight.”
Senior Sergeant Waugh said this was part of an ongoing operation.
Operation Papa Mulsanne is a rolling operation which will run in Jimboomba on a monthly basis.
It was designed to target areas identified as prone to crime.
