FAD Cheer and Dance schools at Beaudesert and Jimboomba are holding an open day on January 13 at Woodhill Hall on Mount Lindesay Highway.
FAD founder and principal teacher Jodie Wessling said the day was to give parents the opportunity to introduce their children to dancing or cheerleading lessons.
“It’s just a fun day for kids to see what we do and to have a go themselves,” she said.
“We will have free lessons starting from 2pm with mini jazz for the three to seven-year-olds.
“The eight to 11-year-olds will try junior jazz at 2.30pm and the eight to 12-year-olds can have a go at junior cheerleading at 3pm.
“The eight to 15-year-olds can join our junior hip hop class at 3.30pm and the senior class jazz for children aged 12 and over will be at 4pm.”
Ms Wessling said after the trial children could sign up for any spaces available for classes next term.
She said lessons were held at St Thomas’ Church hall at Beaudesert on Thursdays from 3.30pm and at Jimboomba Hall on Wednesdays from 3.30pm.
“The enrolment fee is only $50 and then we have a pay as you go arrangement for ongoing lessons,” she said.
“This means parents don’t have to pay for missed lessons if their child is sick or unable to attend.
“Fees range from $10 for a half-hour lesson, $12 for 45 minutes and $14 for an hour.”
