The state's corruption watchdog has hit suspended Ipswich City Council chief executive Jim Lindsay with another charge, two weeks after he was charged with official corruption.
The 53-year-old Karana Downs man was on Tuesday served with a notice to appear in court, charged with disclosure of a confidential document.
"As the CCC's investigation remains ongoing and this matter is now before the court, the CCC is unable to comment further," the Crime and Corruption Commission said on Wednesday, in a statement announcing the charge.
Mr Lindsay is expected to front the Brisbane Magistrates Court on October 11 on both charges, as well as one count of disobedience to statute law.
According to Mr Innes's court file, Mr Lindsay "agreed to receive property namely an amount of money on account of his actions in the discharge of the duties of his office to facilitate a change of use to a development application" between January 23 and July 1.
Mr Lindsay went on leave immediately after the corruption allegation was laid, but, on September 21, the council confirmed he had been "formally suspended" on full pay.
On Thursday, Ipswich City Council mayor Andrew Antoniolli confirmed Gary Kellar would step into the role of Ipswich City Council's acting chief executive from Tuesday, October 3.
Mr Kellar was CEO at Logan City Council for more than two decades.
