The state government (DTMR) is holding a series of workshops giving advice for travel on the M1 during the Commonwealth Games.
The workshops are tailored for business owners near the M1 between Brisbane and Beenleigh, for delivery drivers using the M1 and anyone with a high volume of staff or customers who travel on the M1.
The two-hour workshops will cover road and public transport temporary changes, how business operations may be affected, tips on minimising this impact on affected businesses and gives suggestions on the development of a tailored travel action plan.
Each workshop will be tailored for the location, so it is advised that people attend the workshop closest to their business. The games will be held at the Gold Coast from April 4 to 15 and it is anticipated the M1 will be impacted during this time.
Workshops will be held at Underwood from 5.30pm on Thursday, September 21, in Brisbane at 9.30am on Wednesday, September 27, in Logan Central at 12.30pm on Thursday, September 28 and at the Port of Brisbane at 8.30am on Wednesday, October 4.
Exact locations are provided on registration of attendance on getsetforthegames.com/business.
