A presentation about standard drink limits and breath alcohol concentration will be hosted at Greenbank RSL tomorrow.
The Drink Rite program is a Queensland Police Service program that aims to promote a responsible attitude towards alcohol consumption and drink driving.
Pre-determined participants will be breath tested by police after consuming alcohol to show the effects of different drinks on a range of drinkers.
The Drink Rite program will also show participants how quickly standard drinks can increase their alcohol concentrations.
A police spokesperson said they looked forward to a big turn-out on the night and hope that everyone will take the opportunity to find out, in a fun way, how much they can responsibly drink.
“The message still is, and always will be, if you are going to drink alcohol – do not drive,” the spokesperson said.
The Drink Rite event will be held at Greenbank RSL from 5.45pm on July 21 and everyone is welcome to attend.
