THE photographer responsible for creating half a century of stunning Australian imagery will share his life behind the lens with Logan residents on June 3.
Steve Parish is renowned for capturing Australia’s unique wildlife, flora, landscapes and the places he has travelled.
Councillor Steve Swenson said Mr Parish would be at the Logan Hyperdome Library from 10am to 12pm to meet locals.
“He will be sharing the stories, humour, and adventure that have inspired his connection to nature in everyday life.
“Mr Parish will discuss his life photographing Australia, from where his career began in the waters of South Australia, at the age of 16, to today.
“He will also discuss the importance of pursuing personal goals in life.”
Cr Swenson said Logan City Council was looking forward to welcoming Mr Parish.
“During the last 50 years, the public has connected with Steve’s work in more than 2500 published books.
“His immense contribution to natural history publishing was recognised in 2008 when he was awarded the Order of Australia.
“There would not be many people who would not have seen an image by Mr Parish.”
