One person has died in a single vehicle traffic crash on Tamborine Mountain this morning.
Initial information indicates at 5.55am four people were travelling in a sedan along Tamborine Mountain Road, near Barry Road, when the car left the road and ran into a tree.
One of the passengers died at the scene, and the driver and two other passengers were trapped inside the vehicle.
A female passenger was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital via helicopter in a critical condition.
The 19-year-old male driver was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
An 18-year-old male passenger was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a stable condition.
Traffic diversions are in place and motorists are being asked to avoid the area.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
