The upgrade to ‘one of the busiest roads’ in Logan City has been complete.
From Saturday, motorists will have access to Ewing Road at Woodridge, after the strip underwent major rehabilitation works in June this year.
The $1.9 million project strengthened and rebuilt the road, as well as replaced sections of kerb and channel.
Ewing Road was reconstructed between Smith Road and Southgate Drive.
Logan City Council Roads and Water Infrastructure Chairman, councillor Phil Pidgeon, said he was not only thrilled about the completion of project ahead of schedule but also below budget.
“Despite the recent storm damage, we’ve been able to deliver the project in a timely manner,” he said.
“The road will be back to two-way traffic between Smith Road and Southgate Drive by midday on Saturday.”
