
Jimboomba Seniors won their first game at home on Saturday vs Greenbank. Jimboomba won the toss and elected to bat 1st. After losing Duncan Dukes early, Reid Breeze 55 and Phil Hayes 39 steadied the innings to put on a 101 stand for the second wicket.
Greenbank struck back halfway through the innings with three quick wickets to have Jimboomba five for 115.
Captain Joe Plater 55 and Shannon White 55 then came together and got the innings back on track and put on a 132 run partnership for the sixth wicket and have Jimboomba finish seven for 245 after their 40 overs.
Greenbank in reply started well through two good innings of 45 from B Rhodes and J McLaren 22 but Jimboomba were able to take wickets through Rob Lose and Ben Holley regularly and had Greenbank three for 77 after 20 Overs.
After second drinks Greenbank needed quick runs to chase down the Jimboomba total but the consistent spin duo of Daniel Lorenti and Shannon White applied further pressure and got Jimboomba the win by dismissing Greenbank for 117 in the 30th over.
Best bowlers for Jimboomba were Daniel Lorenti three for 34 off eight overs, Shannon White three for 12, Rob Lose two for 19. Ben Holley and Reid Breeze also chipped in with one wicket each.
Under 16s
Under 16s Division One travelled to Springwood on Saturday and claimed their first win for the season.
Jimboomba won the toss and sent Springwood into bat. Jimboomba were able to dismiss Springwood in 18 overs for 67.
Best bowlers were Josh Schmidt three for 13, Anthony Golding two for 18, Dakota Lawler two for 16 and Ryan Mitchell two for nine.
Jimboomba in reply were able to chase down the total with the loss of only three wickets. Best batsmen were Anthony Golding 23 not out, Lewis Hinds 12 not out and Declan Abberton 11
Under 14s
Jimboomba Division 2 Under 14,s played John Paul Collge (JPC) at home on Saturday. Jimboomba won the toss and sent JPC into bat.
Jimboomba struck early and had JPC three for three after four overs. Jaycob Hauth played his first game for his new team and proved to be the pick of the bowlers for Jimboomba by bowling excellent line and length to remove four JPC batsmen. Lane Hergest and Kobe Henderson finished off the final two wickets to leave JPC all out for 53 in the 22nd over.
Jimboomba then set about the run chase and unfortunately lost Thomas Sterle early and Brandon Duckworth to be two for 26 after 10 overs. Brayden Hayes 28 and Arden Coy 15 then came together to get the job done for Jimboomba and claim the win in the 18th over to finish four for 56.
Under 10s
Jimboomba Bushrangers Division 4 under 10s Gold played Beenleigh Pirates at Windaroo Oval on Saturday is scorching conditions.
Jimboomba elected to bat first and were kept to a tight run total of just 78 with the loss of six wickets on a thick outfield.
Best batters for Jimboomba were Lachlan with 13, Aston 12 and Rowan nine. In reply Beenleigh were 9-114 after their 20 overs. Best Bowlers for Jimboomba were Aston two for 12 off three overs, Liam two for 13, and James two for 13.
Under 10s Division 4 Green
Jimboomba Bushrangers Division 4 Green under 10s played Springwood Gold on Saturday at Logan Village.
Jimboomba Captain Corey Young won the toss and elected to bat first. Jimboomba finished with 138 after 20 overs. Best batsmen for Jimboomba were Caleb Cresswell 38 not out, Hayden Young 28 not out, Corey Young 13 and Jet Wright 11.
Jimboomba in reply kept Springwood to 110 off their 20 overs. Best bowlers for Jimboomba were Carter Cresswell two for nine, Corey Young two for 21, Hayden Young one for four and Alasdair Leach one for 18.
