After the sun went down the costumes come out along with the glow sticks for the new look candlelight ceremony at Jimboomba’s Relay for Life.
The candles for hope were lit by Ray McCabbin and Julie and Lucy Newman.
More than 800 people joined for the remeberance ceremony and candlelight lap.
Face of Relay Lucy Newman said the new glow stick addition was a colourful way to remember those who have lost their battle.
