Federal member for Forde Bert van Manen MP has committed one Saturday a month to meet with residents in his electorate over a “cuppa with Bert.”
Mr van Manen will be visiting a number of shopping centres around the Forde electorate to catch up with residents and listen to their comments and suggestions about the Australian Government.
“The mobile office really is a great way to meet people while they’re out and about running errands or doing the grocery shopping,” Mr van Manen said.
“It’s a great way to hear feedback from the community about their thoughts on government policies and positions.”
“The ‘Cuppa with Bert’ invites residents to join me for a complimentary cuppa and the chance to chat about any issues they may have.
“I always end the morning with a better understanding of what the community is thinking, and also follow up on any problems I can help solve.”
