Park Ridge State School were in the reading spirit last week to celebrate book week.
There were plenty of princes, princesses, minions, superheroes, little red riding hoods and ninjas in the running for best dressed at the book week parade.
In the crowd there were also some stray crayons and wally’s running around.
Teacher librarian Kathy Whitehead said the annual event was a huge success with students from all classes dressing up.
“Book week is a great way to celebrate Australian authors and illustrators,” she said.
“It encourages a love of reading from a young age and of course it gives everyone the chance to have some fun.”
The book fair was held to coincide with the week which will allow the school to purchase more for their library.
