United started fast, from the kickoff the ball found its way to winger Kylah Elliott, who using her speed got around a defender and struck the ball from well outside the box to have it fly wide of the keeper and into the net for 1-nil to Jimboomba after one minute. Ipswich levelled 24 minutes later after a scramble to clear the ball from the Jimboomba red zone resulted in a stray Ipswich boot connecting with the ball right on half-time.
Ipswich again found the net first after half-time for a 2-1 lead. JUFC did not give up and at the 44th minute some clever work by Luke Johnson and a nice last pass allowed Rhys Comerford to finish. Comerford was on the spot again to pounce on a loose ball putting JUFC up 3-2. Ipswich threw everybody forward and another mad scramble in the goal square resulted in, a goal and the game ended 3-all.
Best & fairest for this week went to;
- Sarah Jacobsen, 2. Rhys Comerford 3. Luke Johnson.
