The war medals of a Vietnam veteran and his mother have been recovered after Jimboomba police conducted a search of a Windaroo property on July 14.
The 63-year-old victim was overcome with happiness when police told him they had recovered some of the medals.
The victim’s fathers medals are still outstanding.
The medals, as well as a safe containing jewellery, and credit cards were stolen from the man’s Macdonald Drive, Narangba home on July 8.
The credit cards were used at a petrol station in Holmview at 9.30pm on the same day.
Police have CCTV footage of a blue car that was in the area at the time of the offence.
A witness also saw three or four people in the vehicle.
Police investigations continue.
