Jimboomba athletes Mitchell Fekete, Camryn Newton-Smith and Ashley Moloney recenty flew to Canberra to the Australian Institute of Sport for a four day Athletics Australia High Performance camp from May 12-15.

The three athletes, members of both Jimboomba Little Athletics and Jimboomba Athletics, were selected in the Athletics Australia under 17 Development Squad.
They were selected for the squad because after they each won a gold medal at the Australian National Athletics Championships earlier this year.
Mitchell is the Australian under 17 hammer throw champion and also won a silver medal in discus, Ashley won the under 17 decathlon and pole vault events and Camryn won the under 17 heptathlon as well as picking up a silver in the 100m hurdles.
