UPDATE:
The 30-year-old man involved in the dangerous driving incident on the Logan Motorway has today been charged with more offences.
Following a search of the vehicle, officers located a knife and a bag containing gloves, pliers and a torch.
Inala Tactical Crime Squad officers charged the man with the extra charges of two counts each of stealing and receiving stolen property as well as one count each of possession of a knife in a public place and possession of implements to be used in a burglary.
It will be alleged that the front registration plate was stolen from a car at Ellen Grove earlier that evening and the rear plate was stolen from a car at a Garden City shopping centre.

A Redbank Plains man has been charged after driving dangerously on the Logan Motorway on Saturday.
A police helicopter observed a vehicle driving at high speeds, allegedly driven by the 30-year-old, at about 10pm on the Gateway Motorway at Drewvale.
The vehicle was tracked to the Logan and Ipswich motorways, where it was allegedly weaving through other vehicles.
Initial investigations estimate the vehicle may have been travelling approximately 182km/h along the Ipswich Motorway at Goodna.
Officers attended a Twidale Drive, Riverview address where a man was taken into custody.
The man was charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, driving without a license, driving an uninsured vehicle, driving an unregistered vehicle, driving a vehicle with incorrect number plates and possessing tainted property.
He is due to appear in Richlands Magistrates Court on May 3.
