
Break out those pink shirts and shorts because Jimboomba Cricket wants supporters of all ages to come along and have a fun day fundraising for their pink stumps day.
This Saturday from 2.30pm Glen Logan Park will become a sea of pink cricketers with two local juniors teams facing off in a T20 match, then the dads will be ready to battle it out against the Springfield team under lights.
Secretary Cassandra Hayes said everything is on track for the pink stumps day.
“We’ve never done fundraising like this before, normally everything were do is specifically for the club,” she said.
“We’ve been turning people away to play.
“Local businesses have been fantastic and we hope people come and spectate on the day.”
At a minimum the club needs to raise $650 and they are part way there with $150 in the piggy bank.
“We are hoping to smash that, but anythign over $650 is a bonus,” Hayes said.
The club will be holding raffles and having best pick costume prizes.
There are full canteen facilities with most food proceeds going to the fundraising cause.
Entry is free for the pink stumps day.
