TWO roads in Buccan will soon undergo speed limit changes following complaints from local residents of drivers speeding through the area and inconsistent limits.
Logan City Council will change the overall speed limit on Hein Rd and Menora Rd at Buccan to 70km/h, replacing several 60km/h and 80km/h sections.

Logan City Council Roads and Water Infrastructure Committee Chairperson Councillor Don Petersen said he had been contacted by residents concerned about drivers not obeying the speed limit.
The speed limit changes were recommendation following a safety review conducted by police, Main Roads and RACQ.
“The new speed limit should better suit the existing road environment and make it easier for drivers by having a consistent speed limit on similar types of roads.”
Cr Petersen said Queensland Police were aware of the speed changes and would be enforcing the new speed limit.
