DETECTIVES have charged a man following investigations into an incident that occurred in Jimboomba on June 27, 2015.
Police will allege the man was part of a group of men who forcibly entered a residence on Abell Road, kidnapping a 22-year-old man at gun point before taking him to several locations, assaulting and extorting money from him.
A 24-year-old man from Crestmead has been charged with one count each of extortion and possessing instructions for producing steroids.
He had previously been charged with one count each of kidnapping for ransom, deprivation of liberty, robbery whilst armed in company and burglary with intent.
He is due to appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on October 21.
