THE Park Ridge Pirates AFL Club now has the perfect marketing tool to grow its brand thanks to a three year sponsorship deal with Bus Queensland.
Bus Queensland has launched a Pirates bus, which is covered in a print of the club name and colours.
Pirates coach Andy Colenso said the club was ecstatic with the deal.
"If you look at it in a business sense, it is worth in excess of $50,000 so it's a great opportunity for us and our sponsors and community partners to jump on the back of," he said.
"It's just great for the brand awareness of both us and Bus Queensland."
Mr Colenso said the idea came about after the club brainstormed ideas and approached Bus Queensland, who were quick to get on board.
"It's really about building a relationship between the club, the local schools and the company," he said.
"We see it as a great community partnership. It's out there, it's in your face, so it's great for marketing.
Mr Colenso said the club planned to show off the bus at major club events.
"It's good for our sponsorship days and during finals and hopefully we'll use it for club trips away," he said.
"It's great for team bonding and galvanising the club."
Mr Colenso said the bus has already been the talk of the club.
"The feedback has been enormous from a club point of view," he said.
"We are thrilled with the outcome, it's just sensational for us."
