LOGAN Village Falcons Allsports' Steele Road grounds have been made safer with the construction of a new car park, driveway and signage.
The $250,000 council project was funded from the Division Four Divisional Improvement Capital Infrastructure Projects (DICIP) budget.
Council also installed an electronic gate with key-card system to improve security and convenience for the club members.
Club secretary Matt Armstrong said prior to the upgrade there were very few parking spaces at the club, creating traffic chaos.
"For us it's just safety and peace of mind," he said.
As part of the works, the dam on site was deepened to improve water security for the club.
The next stage of the upgrade will include an extension of the clubhouse verandah.
"Having this deck extended is going to be great," Mr Armstrong said.
"There will be more room for us to sit down and watch the games and we will be able to watch netball and tennis from the deck."
Division Four Councillor Don Petersen said the new car park utilised recycled materials.
"We utilised a lot of the material that we took out of Pioneer Drive around the corner, because we did a lot of rehabilitation works and rather than take that stuff to the tip we brought it in here," he said.
Cr Petersen said the future was looking bright for the Logan Village Falcons.
"It is another one of these links which draws Logan Village and Yarrabilba together, we really need to make sure there are good strong links between these two communities," he said.
The Falcons also welcomed back major sponsors Bendigo Bank and new sponsors LJ Hooker Yarrabilba.
