THE $5.4 million revitalisation of Cusack Lane has come under heavy criticism from the community.
Residents took to Facebook late last year to vent their frustrations with the new road and the way the road works have been managed.
Flagstone woman Donna Potts said the patchy seal on Cusack Lane made for a bumpy ride.
"To put it bluntly I think they've done a pretty pathetic job really," she said.
"Half of what they've done is going to have to be done again by the end of the summer season.
"As soon as we get a good bout of rain it's going to be full of potholes and we'll be back to square one."
Ms Potts said she travels Cusack Lane at least twice a day and the delays caused by the works had been "astronomical".
Logan City Council roads chairman Cr Don Petersen said council was aware of the community's concerns.
"Final assessments of the new works are currently being undertaken by council officers and decisions regarding corrective actions, if any, will be made once all information is available," he said.
"These works were undertaken by an external contractor, and council is currently working with the contractor to bring the project to completion.
"Although the majority of roadworks will be complete in the next few weeks, some street lighting electrical works and roadside clearing may take place beyond this time frame.
Cr Petersen said construction along Cusack Lane had proven difficult.
"In order to keep the road open to traffic it was necessary to deliver the work in numerous, small sections with traffic using the incomplete works on a daily basis to keep thoroughfare to the public open outside of working hours," he said.
"This method has presented additional challenges in achieving a smooth riding pavement and has affected the final outcome.
"Patching and localised reworked road sections due to wet weather and potholing under traffic has also affected the smoothness of ride."
