GREENBANK mini-trotter Cody Peters-Cash has claimed victory in the Miracle Mile in Menangle, NSW.
The 15-year-old defeated some of Australia's top mini-trotters to win the event, which was held at Tabcorp Park.
Peters-Cash has been competing in the sport of mini-trotting for just two years, on Shetland Pony Dan-Elles Dash.
He said he was thrilled with the win.
"It was close," he said.
"I thought I would run a place cause on time (in the qualifiers) my pony was third quickest."
The Miracle Mile event is just over 200m in length. Competitors start off behind the mobile, a car pulling gates to keep the ponies level.
When the car leaves, competitors start their race down the straight.
Peters-Cash said he put his win down to a great start.
"From the start we came off the mobile really quick, better than any of the others," he said.
"I'm really happy with how we went."
Peters-Cash defeated three of his peers from the Queensland Junior Harness Racing club, who claimed second, third and fourth place.
"It was great to see Queenslanders at the top," Peters-Cash said.
"It was between me and Angus (Gerrard) in the end, he had a great race as well."
Angus Gerrard of Burpengary claimed second place with Twebby Twotter, while Lachie Manzelmann of Fernvale came third with Sparkling Star.
Logan Village mini-trotter Leonard Cain was in fourth place with Roxy On Home.
