RESIDENTS in Jimboomba are mopping up after a storm with damaging winds, torrential rain and hail swept through on Thursday.
However the community got off lightly compared to the havoc wreaked in Brisbane caused by a super cell storm.
Logan SES responded to two call outs in Jimboomba, including a major one where a tree fell onto the roof of a house and two tarps were needed to protect it.
In total the SES responded to 11 call outs throughout Logan.
Logan SES volunteers were sent to Brisbane on Thursday and Friday to help with the clean up and more will be sent on Saturday.
According to the Energex website, as of noon on Friday there were still 691 homes without power, including 420 in Greenbank, five in New Beith and 25 in Park Ridge South.
