DETECTIVES investigating the suspected murder of 71-year-old Logan man David Hanson have renewed their calls for help from the public to track down who killed him.
Mr Hanson, a diamond miner, disappeared in February this year and his body has still not been found.
He was reported missing by his daughter on March 2.
South eastern regional crime co-ordinator, Detective Superintendent David Hutchinson, said police believed it was likely Mr Hanson was killed at a business address in Woodridge.
“We have identified a number of strong leads throughout the investigation and we have a number of firm suspects,” he said.
“We believe Mr Hanson may have been killed at a car detailing business which was then at Timms Court at Woodridge.
“He was last seen leaving a Sunnybank shopping centre on the corner of Mains Road and McCullough streets at 9.23am on February 22.
“At that stage he was driving a red Hyundai vehicle.
“We are asking for anybody who has information which may assist this investigation to come forward.
“We are particularly interested in speaking with anybody who can provide information on the movements of Mr Hanson once he left the shopping centre.”
In March police and SES volunteers searched Browns Plains rubbish tip for Mr Hanson's body, clothing or backpack, which they believed may have been put in a bin and taken to the dump.
Some items were discovered during the search which related to the case.
