A CEDAR Grove man has turned into a millionaire overnight by winning the Gold Lotto through a ticket he bought at the Beaudesert Newsagency.
The man, who did not wish to be named, got the good news at 10am Thursday.
Sue Weymouth from the newsagency said it was the first time in the shop's 60 year history that someone had won $1 million through a ticket bought there.
She said it was exciting news to get first thing in the morning.
"I squealed - there was a customer here and I actually squealed," she said.
"It's the first time it's happened in the 60 years this newsagency has been here, so we're pretty stoked.
"It should be a good Christmas for him."
