Church secretary Pam Carroll said the decision was handed down by the head office earlier this month.
She said the congregation was shocked at first but had soon formed a plan to transfer their worship to the Little Brown Church on Johanna Street.
"An era is closing. But the congregation itself will not disband," she said.
"After the dissolution of the Jimboomba Uniting Church the congregation will be known as the Little Brown Church Christian Community and the new venue for Sunday services will be back where we began at the Little Brown Church."
Interdenominational Christian worship began at the corner of Bell and Queen streets, Jimboomba in the original Little Brown Church from circa 1909.
The Uniting Church took over the building in 1985 and acquired the land in 1997. The existing Uniting Church building was transported to the site in 1999 and at the same time the Little Brown Church building was donated to Jimboomba Rotary.
Ms Carroll said the Jimboomba Uniting Church's final service would include a slide show and memories of the congregation spanning the church's history.
A farewell morning tea will follow the service. The final service will be held 9am on Sunday at the Uniting Church on the corner of Bell and Queen streets, Jimboomba.
