JIMBOOMBA Netball Association (JNA) hosted the Brisbane South Netball inter-regional twilight carnival on Sunday afternoon, with teams coming from Macgregor, Logan, Shailer Park and Beaudesert to play alongside the Jimboomba representative teams.
JNA fielded five representative teams in the competition and president Theresa Groves said it was a great opening to the 2014 rep season.
"We will be going to Townsville this year for state age championships, and for our teams to be given the opportunity to play these smaller carnivals pre-season ensures we get the experience we need to make us competitive at the championships," she said.
Results for the carnival are as follows::
In round one, Logan City 12s beat Macgregor 12s (1) 15-6, Magregor 12s (2) beat Beaudesert challenge 13s 8-3, Macgregor representative 13s beat Jimboomba 13s representative 13-6 and Shailer Parker 13s representative beat Macgregor 13s challenge 14-9.
In round two, Jimboomba 14s beat Logan City 14s 17-8, Macregor 14s beat Macgregor challenge 14s 17-4, Jimboomba 15s beat Macgregor 15s 11-8, Macgregor 16s challenge beat Macgregor 15s challenge 19-3 and Jimboomba 17s representative side beat Jimboomba 16s 28-3.
In round three, Logan City 12s beat Macgregor 12s (2) 13-2, Jimboomba 13s representative beat Beaudesert 13s challenge 19-3, Shailer Park 13s representative beat Macgregor 13s representative 13-12 and Macgregor 13s challenge beat Macgregor 12s (1) 13-4.
In round four, Logan City beat Macgregor 14s challenge 14-6, Macgregor 14s rep beat Jimboomba 14s 13-6, Jimboomba 15s beat Macgregor 15s challenge 17-9, Jimboomba 16s beat Macgregor 16s challenge 16-11 and Jimboomba 17s beat Macgregor 15s challenge 24-5.
In round five, Macgregor 12s (1) beat Macgregor 12s (2) 5-3, Jimboomba 13s beat Logan City 12s 18-3, Shailer Park 13s beat Beaudesert 13s challenge 36-1 and Macgregor 13s representative beat Macgregor 13s challenge 15-7.
In round six Macgregor 14s representative tied with Logan City 9-all, Jimboomba 14s beat Macgregor challenge 22-7, Jimboomba 15s beat Jimboomba 16s 20-8, Macgregor 15s representative beat Macgregor 15s challenge 21-5 and Jimboomba 17s beat Macgregor 16s challenge 25-1.
In round seven, Shailer Park 13s beat Jimboomba 13s 15-6, Macgregor 13s representative beat Macgregor 12s (1) 16-2, Logan City 12s beat Beaudesert 13s challenge 12-1 and Macgregor 13s challewnge beat Macgregor 12s (2) 29-2.
In round eight, Jimboomba 14s beat Logan City 14s 18-10, Macgregor representative beat Macgregor 14s challenge 18-3, Jimboomba 17s beat Jimboomba 15s 20-7, Jimboomba 16s beat Macgregor 15s challenge 11-8 and Macregor 16s representative beat Macgregor 16s challenge 13-12.
