Sydney celebrates solstice with a new festival

A new winter festival is coming to Sydney on June 8–20. To celebrate the longest night of the year, Sydney Solstice will showcase the city’s food and beverage offerings as well as its vibrant culture, entertainment and dining precincts. The event will invite locals and visitors to indulge in a different side of the Harbour City, while giving a much-needed boost to local businesses.

Headline events will include live music and performances, culinary experiences, local art, comedy and immersive workshops. It aims to take locals and visitors from urban laneways to city landmarks, and from inside hidden bars to glittering harbourside locations. Sydney Solstice will be held around four key precincts: the CBD, Darling Harbour, Oxford Street and Newtown.
