Qantas has confirmed the exact travel dates for when Aussies will once again be able travel to international destinations.

It was revealed to Yahoo Finance that flights to London, Los Angeles, Vancouver and Singapore will begin from December 18 this year.

Then the following day, Aussies will be able to hop on a plane to Tokyo and Fiji.

While Qantas had suggested mid December as a restart date, this is their first confirmation of this and revealing of official dates.

On the 18th of December, Qantas has confirmed these flights will be running

  • Sydney to London
  • Melbourne to London
  • Sydney to Los Angeles
  • Sydney to Vancouver
  • Sydney to Singapore
  • Melbourne to Singapore

On the 19th of December, this is the schedule

  • Melbourne to Los Angeles
  • Brisbane to Los Angeles
  • Sydney to Honolulu
  • Brisbane to Singapore
  • Sydney to Tokyo
  • Sydney to Fiji

This comes hot on the heels of Air Canada announcing they’ll be recommencing their Sydney to Vancouver flights from December 17, showing the airline industry is clearly confident about the return of international travel in and out of Australia.

Air Canada has confirmed that anyone hopping onboard will need to be double jabbed and with the Australian Government currently developing vaccination passports, you can assume the same of any flights heading out of the country for the foreseeable future.

The wait has been absolutely treacherous, with so many peoples greatest passion stripped away by the pandemic, but right now, the signs are finally pointing to the wait being over.
