A local landmark has been restored after a group of Jimboomba area residents replaced the large stuffed bear on a local road after it went missing recently.
Dubbed "CC Bear" due to its home on Camp Cable Road, the stuffed toy delighted children and adults alike as they drove past.
Col Holden, one of the residents involved in replacing the bear, said although it was a small thing to do he thought it would be greatly appreciated by the community.
"We're just doing it for the kids," Mr Holden said.
"All the kids would wave to it as they drove past from Jimboomba and adults loved it too.
"It was nice to see some good things happening in the area."
Mr Holden was not the only one responsible for replacing the bear, with the animal itself donated by Brooke Whiteside and a water bottle and chair donated by Brooke Boyd.
To keep the new bear safe from the elements, Amanda Pitts chipped in a hat and hi-vis shirt and another resident Carly Ann donated an umbrella to keep CC Bear's successor dry during wet weather.
As to whether or not the new bear would suffer the same fate as its predecessor, Mr Holden said it was securely fastened to the camp chair.
"It's not going to move in a hurry," he said.
