Things are looking up for Now and Zen Community Op Shop, as it has been able to extend the duration of its pop-up shop and is set to move into a new home in the coming months.
Bron Washbrook and Sally Brooks have volunteered at the shop for several years, and Mrs Washbrook said this year had been difficult for all the volunteers.
"It's been really hard on us," she said.
"We've been having cuppa days and stuff like that to get together because we all miss each other."
Although it has been months since the volunteers last put in a shift at the store, both volunteers said they had no trouble fitting back into the routine.
"It's like we never left," Ms Brooks said.
"We just fell straight back into it."
Ms Brooks started at the store when it was operated by Chicks Conquering Cancer, before current owner Andy Mabey took it over, and said there was one reason she had kept turning up.
"The people," she said.
Mrs Washbrook agreed, and said the store's regulars had missed the team while the shop was closed during its indefinite hiatus.
"The community is awesome," she said.
"The first day we were here one of our regulars from the old shop came to visit, then the next day brought us banana cake."
As well as a contingent of old regulars visiting the pop-up shop, and Mrs Washbrook said several passers-by had stopped off on their travels.
"They see the sign and just pop in," she said.
"We're seeing a lot of new faces. People keep asking us if we're going to be here permanently and where we're going to go."
Ms Brooks said the shop was finalising its new, permanent home at Caddies on South Street, which would be welcome news for many residents in the Jimboomba area.
"We've got people that are reliant on us, that's the thing," she said.
"If we're not there, what do they do?
"There are a couple of other op shops in the area, but nothing the same size that we were."
The Now and Zen Community Op Shop pop-up shop will run until July 10, and the team can be found at Woodhill Hall on the Mount Lindesay Highway daily from 9am-3pm.
