Residents can learn more about how development and growth in the City of Logan is managed when community consultation on the proposed Logan Plan 2025 begins this month.
The proposed plan is the city's latest planning scheme and guides development to ensure housing, jobs and infrastructure are delivered as Logan grows.
Planning Chair, Councillor Jon Raven said it is important residents get involved with the process, as the planning scheme has far-reaching impacts.
"The planning scheme impacts everyone who lives or works in the City of Logan, along with those who visit us or do business here. Yet it's something many people ignore until it's too late," Cr Raven said.
"Logan Plan 2025 will help Council decide when, where and how development happens. Logan is growing rapidly and this plan will shape the future of our city leading up to and beyond the 2032 Olympics."
Logan City Council has provided residents and business owners with several platforms to learn more about the planning scheme and provide input.
Interested parties can visit the Online Community Portal to find out more about the plan, and feedback on Logan Plan 2025 can be provided via the council's Have Your Say platform.
There are also several in-person community engagement sessions planned, and a full list of details, including links to event registration, is available here.
Councillor Raven said the council was hoping to hear a wide variety of perspectives during the consultation process.
"Community and industry feedback is critical. We want the people and businesses of Logan to get involved and help us design a brighter future," Cr Raven said.
