BEAUDESERT Race Club will host an Australia Day event on January 26 from 11am.
Although the event is getting back to basics with no fashions on the field prizes on offer, punters can still enjoy the chance to get dressed up and enjoy a day trackside.
The previously scheduled New Years Day meet was cancelled due to delays with sand track upgrade work but with everything now up and running the first race meet of 2022 will go ahead.

Aquis Beaudesert spokeswoman Ella Cohen said only vaccinated people would be allowed in.
"We are classified as a hospitality venue, so all patrons, patrons, participants, everyone who steps on track has to be vaccinated," she said.
Ms Cohen said there would be no entry charge and registration to the event was not required but this time there would be no fashions on the field or live entertainment.
"It will just be a QR check-in at the gate as per Queensland government rulings," she said.
"The food van and bars will be open and the betting facilities as well.
"At the moment we have eight races scheduled."
