Glenn McGrath's Pink Stumps Day appearance at Jimboomba next month is a boon for organisers of the successful fundraising event.
McGrath, who took 563 Test wickets for Australia, will be at Jimboomba on February 12, as the Bushrangers cricket club aims for another huge total.
Last year, the Glenlogan Park night raised an incredible $33,000 to help breast cancer patients across the country.
Bushrangers president Melissa Benstead said she could not wait for McGrath to be at the event.
"It's phenomenal," Benstead said.
"It's really exciting for our great little community.
"Each year we do what we do, hoping people recognise what we do.
"It will be such an honour for him to attend, and more proof of what we do for our community."
Division councillor Scott Bannan said it was testament to organisers' work behind the scenes to get the event going every year.
"They used to raise $500, and now, it's one of the biggest fundraisers in the country," he said.
"It's reward for the hard work which is being done."
The day will coincide with the McGrath Foundation's launch of fundraisers nation wide.
There will be something for the kids the previous day, with a training session conduced by former Queensland Bulls players at the club.
Then, the next night, it's onto the main event.
The Bushrangers will take on a team consisting of former Queensland Bulls players and sporting stars.
Former England cricketer Adam Hollioake will play.
Bushranger Rodney Teese said more team announcements would be made in coming weeks.
Before the main match, a couple of local clashes will get things going.
The Bushrangers will take on the Mad Dogs, who have a host of ex-Jimboomba players in their ranks, in Division 1.
In Division 2, the Bushies will host Greenbank Lions.
Benstead thanked the Logan and District Cricket Association for moving fixtures to coincide with the Jimboomba event.
Organisers are still looking for a naming rights sponsor for the event.
The business' name will be on the field, and there will a spot in one team up for grabs.
It comes after McGrath tested positive for COVID-19 last week, on the eve of the Pink Test in Sydney.
He was forced to watch from isolation at home as the players handed over their pink caps, which were due to be auctioned off to help the fundraising cause.
