CHRISTMAS is shaping as a day to spend outdoors, with early Weather Bureau predictions suggesting only a shower or two for Redlands, Logan and Beaudesert.
Temperatures in the high 20s are expected for the festivities on Saturday before a slight rise on Boxing Day.
There is a 60 per cent chance of rain for Logan and Beaudesert, but the Weather Bureau expects falls will be light, with only 4-5mm forecast.
Redlands could get 4-15mm, the BOM says.
The possibility of showers decreases on Boxing Day, but the mercury could hit 30 degrees in some south-east areas.
Redlands and Logan have all experienced good rainfall this month, both cracking 100mm, but it has been a sharp decrease on 2020.
Beaudesert has recorded 277mm already in December thanks to heavy falls earlier in the month.
The Weather Bureau predicts January to March rainfall will be above median for eastern Queensland, including along the coast.
