A CONVOY of 33 Holdens and Fords cruised to the Scenic Rim on Saturday to check out the scenery at Lake Wyaralong on their way to lunch at Advancetown.
Rob Arundel, administrator of the VEVF Community car club Queensland chapter, said the group had more than 27,000 members Australia-wide.
"This was our first Queensland meet," he said.
"The next one will be a charity cruise in December around the Scenic Rim to raise funds for the Children's Hospital Foundation."
The line of impressive sedans and utes was on display opposite the Wyaralong Dam car park which was full due to the Logan and Albert Fish Management Association annual carp and tilapea competition, which drew more than 200 competitors.
Jimboomba resident Jade Brown, who helps run the VEVF Car Club, said the cars often set out for a jaunt around the region.
"This is a great spot," she said.
"We've enjoyed this ride."
Several of the car club members took photos at the lake and mingled happily with fishers before heading off for lunch at Advancetown.
Also in attendance was Nic Lynch from Envious Street Cars who owns Nikkalate cafe at Loganholme and the Envious Car Girls clothing brand.
Ms Lynch arrived in her rose gold M1SS-RQ car.
"We try to get out for a drive together every three weeks," she said.
